First visit
Ring the office and say you're new. The desk checks your insurance before you book, so the first appointment doesn't end in a conversation about money.
Bring your card and your plan name. That's the whole list.

Step 1
Ring, don't book onlineThe phone gets answered by the front desk. They'll ask your plan, check coverage, then find a time — which is faster than any form and avoids a surprise bill.
Step 2
Bring your card and your plan namePhoto ID, insurance card, and a list of anything you're taking. If records exist at a previous dentist, ask them to send them over.
Step 3
Exam, X-rays, and a conversationWhat's fine, what isn't, and what it will take. Nothing gets drilled on the first visit unless it's urgent and you agree to it.
Step 4
Decide from thereYou leave with a plan and a price, not a treatment coordinator working a room. Come back when you're ready, or don't.

One thing that surprises people
It's one dentist, not a rotating group of associates. The person who examines you is the person who does the work, and the person who remembers your name at the next visit. Thirty years of that is why the reviews read the way they do.
